Jordan University Hospital The first hospital I should talk about, the hospital where I trained the 4th, 5th and 6th year medicine. Talking about it is as if I’m talking about my biography, so I’m going to talk about it from a patient point of view. The most important thing is you can have insurance easily there, it is a public hospital, or so part of it. It is cheap compared to private hospitals, most doctors are of high educational ranks, and have a lot of experience. The thing that bothers patient the most is that it is a teaching hospital, you should deal with medical students of all ages, and all sorts. Kind people believe that medical students will be the future doctors that will cure their children, but some thinks that they are just annoying! and wont treat them!

King Hussein Medical Center To me it is the best hospital in Jordan, it is military hospital, you can tell easily. This hospital contains the most developed equipments, and do the most complicated surgeries. It is natural to find Jordan university medical students there, because we are sent there for a couple of months, and actually learns a lot, specially examinations. Surely it is big, contains a lot of buildings, and still building extensions for every specialty, to contain the increasing numbers of patients. It is a teaching hospital for Jordan university students, and the hospital residents, but not like Jordan University Hospital, you might sleep there months without being exposed to any student. The insurance is mostly for military families, but I think it is still cheaper than other hospitals.

Al-Basheer Hospital Everyone’s hospital! We are sent there for few months like King Hussein Medical Center, but what a difference. It is the minimal you can get from a hospital, anybody can go there, it is the cheapest, but don't expect perfect care! A lot of patients are there, and it contains a lot of buildings, to contain this huge numbers! For example, there are almost 40 pregnant women waiting in the delivery room. But still it helps a lot of poor patients, and consultants are good.

The Islamic Hospital Worked in it in Emtiaz year -the year after graduation- and it was fun. also specialized in internal medicine there. The hospital in general has strict rules for males and females relationships, so you can’t be as free as you were in other hospitals. Most female patients like this hospital so no male doctors are going to exam them most of the time, but this make the work of female residents harder, because usually they are fewer than male residents. The quality of work is good, with good equipments and good labs, but it is not cheap, it is private. There is a very good teaching program for residents in most specialties, but no medical students, rarely elective. For more information you can visit its website: www.islamic-hospital.org/
