Social awareness about Down Syndrome in Jordan

This research is concerned with the social awareness and cultural beliefs about Down Syndrome among a sample of a Jordanian population.

The purpose of this study is to highlight the social attitude towards DS in a Jordanian community. We are interested in knowing how much scientific knowledge people have about Down Syndrome, and whether there are any cultural misconceptions concerning the syndrome. We would also like to determine the extent of social acceptability towards Down Syndrome in Jordan.
