Jordan University

I already talked about medicine, so here I’m going to talk about the university itself.

I applied for it, which is the best university in Jordan, and was accepted as a medical student in 2002.

Jordan University is located in Amman, in a big land, with a lot of buildings for every faculty.

We almost divide it into 3 parts, the most west, where there are the human science and accounting, the middle, where the science faculty located, then the most east of all, the faculty of engineering and... medicine.

Between the medical faculty and the University Hospital is a bridge, we often use.

The medical portion of the university was called “Makka Al-Mukarrama” because the people there wear white coats like pilgrims.

There is studio for painting and another for music, and you can play sport as you like, I was one of the people who attended the painting studio, and played some sports with my friends.

There is a large library, a lot of students use to study there, it is quite, and has a lot of books of all sorts.

There are stadiums almost in every building, some exams take place there, and meetings.

The biggest computer building in Jordan is in this university, just contain a lot of computers, you can use anytime.

Entrances scattered in the university, the first is the main gate, in the middle of the university, and there is a gate for medical faculties, agricultural faculty, science faculty and human science, plus a gate in the far east, and you can always enter from the mosque.

There is a big mosque, called “the University Mosque” and a small pray room in every faculty.

In front of the main door are a lot of good restaurants, shops, and book stores, you can always find what you are looking for.

After all this talk, I should tell you about the most important building in the university, it is the registration building! if you are a student in this university you will understand that all students have stories in this building! all your work in all years are sorted there, your grades, your work, all your studying years are there, and if you made them angry of you... you are certainly doomed! people there has the power to do anything, they are the ones who say finally you are to graduate, so be careful when you deal with them, trust me they can do what they say.

For me, I once registered for the 6th year, and they counted it a 2nd year! thank God they listened and corrected the mistake!

Finally the happiest day is the graduation party, you survived!
